Install the official app
Download WhatsApp from your device's official app store, or visit whatsapp.com for the official download.
Enter your country and number
Choose the correct country code, enter the number and check the digits carefully before continuing.
Complete verification
Request the code in WhatsApp and enter the code you receive. Never share it with another person.
Set up your profile
Add your display name and, if you want, a profile photo. Review who can see your personal information.
Turn on account protection
Open Settings and enable two-step verification. Add a recovery email if the app offers it.
